2011 Champion Tipster Competition
Luke failed to post a valid selection on overflow day, so the season ends with Jasper retaining his crown with a mere 34.6 points, a long way short of the 103 points he won with last year. If fact his points tally this year would only have gained him fifth position in last years competition. Second place goes to Simon and Tony racks up into third place. Here are the usual stats:
LARGEST SINGLE WIN
And finally, the fact you've been waiting for: if each player had had a £5 each-way bet on their selections throughout the season Jasper would have won £43 while everyone else would have made a loss, Julie being the worse off losing £105. If you were to have put the same bet on all of the players selections each week you would have lost £438.35. After a brief excursion into profit last year, we once again prove that maybe there are better ways of making money than horse racing.
Jasper: 18/1 returning 24.5 points.
Vicky, with 5 places a 38% strike rate.
MOST STRAIGHT WINS
Julie with 5 points.
