2010 Champion Tipster Competition
So overflow day came and went and had no effect. Both Luke and John failed to secure any more points so the final table remains the same as last week. This means that Jasper is the run away winner with a record breaking 103 points, beating the second placed Charlie by nearly 50 points. The consistent performer Lucy comes in third with more than 39 points which, by the way, would have been enough to win the competition in the previous two years. Here are the usual stats:
LARGEST SINGLE WIN
Another interesting fact is that if each player had had a £5 each-way bet on their selections throughout the season Jasper would have won £385.38 while Vicky would have lost £51.75. And if you were to have put the same bet on all of the players selections each week you would have won a staggering £526.80. This is the first time the Champion Tipster has been in profit this way - which means we must all be getting better at picking horses!
Jasper: 33/1 returning 41.6 points.
Julie and Jasper: both with 3 wins and 4 places, a 54% strike rate.
MOST STRAIGHT WINS
Julie, Jasper and Tony: 3
Vicky with 15.6 points.
Well done to Jasper. Thank you to every one for taking part. The 2011 competition will start in May as usual so hope to see you all again next year. E-mail me if you would like to take part.
